On World Indigenous People’s Day, we’re delighted to share this article from Channel News Asia, who recently joined FCF on a media trip to the Ancestral Philippine Eagle Forest. The Dumagat and Alta Indigenous People are fighting to protect their sacred forest, supported by local FCF partner Daluhay, with funding from One Tree Planted. The photo above is of local resident Jefferey Natvidad (right) and his family. Jefferey told the journalist: “I choose to stay here and fight hard for our land because this is where I saw the (beauty of the) world.”
